We also recommend having a monitoring solution attached to your solar system. This provides transparency for the performance of the solar system compared to the power usage at your property, and the easy to use monitoring platforms provide excellent accountability for your investment which you can view on your home computer or on the go using a mobile phone app.
This can be done with inverter manufacturer solutions, or by using third party solutions like ‘Solar Analytics’.
Solar Analytics can fit to any new or existing systems where Telstra mobile is available. It monitors your total energy profile and watches over both your energy consumption and your solar production as well, but Solar Analytics also has the invaluable feature where email alerts are sent to you should it detect any system issues – you will effectively have someone watching over your system making sure everything is working well!
For commercial system owners with a fleet of systems such as large corporations or local government, Solar Analytics has the option to combine the statistics on solar generation, energy savings, CO2 savings and the like to publicly display on a single interface to communicate the organisation’s commitment to fiscal and environmental responsibility.
